Basic Expectations

1. All residents should be acquainted with the values of Vashon Cohousing.

2. Renters should initially introduce themselves to the Cohousing residents at a general meeting.

3. Consideration must be given to your neighbors, such as, not to make loud noises after 10 PM.

Community Activities

1. Renters are encouraged to attend the general cohousing meeting that is held every other Sunday 5 - 7:30 PM at a member’s home until the Common House is built.

Renters are welcomed to participate in the discussion and get better acquainted with the cohousing concept. They may participate in decision-making affecting daily activities but cannot block consensus on developmental projects.

2. We welcome renters to volunteer for committees and contribute towards forming community rules and activities.

3. Monthly work parties provide opportunities for residents to cooperate in common responsibilities while sharing informal interests. There are about 4 groups scheduled according to the demands of their daily activities. We invite renters to join us.
