The following is a list of issues that we in Cohousing deal with all the time. Would you please give them some thought and discuss them with us in our meetings? Over the next few weeks we hope to spend some time on all of them, as a way of getting to know you and as a way for you to learn about us.

If you decide you want to get involved in Cohousing, we ask that you please write us a vision statement of about three pages, taking your inspiration from these topics.

1. What is your interest in community living, and in cohousing in particular?

2. What has been your previous experience, if any, with community living? (i.e. family life, extended family, shared homes, etc?)

3. What were some of the things you both enjoyed and found difficult about community living? Would you do anything differently next time?

4. What are some of the resources you bring to community, both tangible and intangible? (skills, talents, character traits, experiences...)

5. In what ways do you think you would personally benefit from this community?

6. Are there any things which others in community may find difficult about you?

7. What characteristics in others do you find difficult?

8. What are some of the things you enjoy about being with children?

9. What are some of the things you dislike about being with children?

10. What are your thoughts about non-parents' involvement with children?

11. What challenges as a community do you think Vashon Cohousing Group faces?

12. Who are some of your heroines and heroes?

13. Which of your experiences in the last few years have produced the most personal growth?
